21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

Each year at Colonial we like to start off the new year with the spiritual disciplines of fasting and praying. This is a perfect opportunity to center or re-center our lives in Scripture and remind ourselves of our need for Jesus.

This year we will kick off our 21 days Monday morning January 13th with a daily devotional available through the app or HERE, and end it with communion and Come To The Table on February 2nd.

Child Dedication Meeting

Child Dedication at Colonial Church is more than an event…it’s an opportunity for you to take some time at the beginning of your parenting journey to think about what will have the greatest impact on your child’s future.  We want to celebrate with you, and encourage you as parents.

Whether this is your 1st child, or you have added to a growing family, we want to celebrate with you!  Join us for an informational meeting to chat about what that looks like for your family, and how to involve more people to speak into your child’s life. We’ll also explore what it means to look farther along the road on your parenting journey to start with the end in mind when it comes to their relationship with Jesus. 

The meeting will take place right after our Sunday gathering ends in Building 242 Sunday February 9th.

Baptism Class

Baptism is how we publicly declare that we have made the decision to follow Jesus. We are following the example Jesus gives us from Matthew 3:13-16 and showing our commitment to Him through this symbol of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.

And we want to celebrate together this life-changing decision with you!

Leading up to our baptism celebration, we want to invite anyone interested in getting baptized to our Baptism Class. In this class we will walk through what baptism is and why we do it as well as what you can expect when you are getting baptized.

In order to be baptized, you must attend this short class.

Our next Baptism Class will be Sunday, March 23rd, immediately following our 10am gathering. 6th grade through adults will meet in the Living Room (behind the coffee bar) and kids 5th grade and below in Building 242.

Setting aside time to pray to God is a healthy rhythm. When we pray, we are approaching the God of the universe thanking Him for who He is, asking Him for guidance, and asking for His help with life. We can also have faith that He hears us.

It is important to do this regularly, both individually and together. On the 3rd Sunday of every month at 5:30pm, come join some of the Colonial family to spend some time in prayer together in the form of a prayer walk. We will pray for 3 things: to reveal His will for our church, to renew our faith and passion for our mission, and for revival of the Church as a whole in Wichita Falls.

Come experience the Spirit of God moving through His church, and see Him reveal, renew, and bring revival both to Colonial and to Wichita Falls!
